What cuts me right through (I have to confess to being a mascocist, and watching/crying four times through the first time I saw it) is the look on his face after he finishes singing. The song is over, and he stops being lost in it... and the crowd is giving him a standing ovation, and the female judge is crying... and yet the look on his face when he's waiting to hear from the judges gives such a tender picture of the condition of his heart. Despite the evidence (people cheering wildly), he is prepared to hear that he stinks. That look of fear and hope and vulnerability... Aaack. Cuts the through every time.
